A breakdown of funeral expenses

We understand that talking about costs can feel difficult at an already emotional time. Our aim is to make this part of the process as gentle and clear as possible.

Funeral costs are made up of our professional service fees, along with any third-party expenses required to carry out the service. We’ll guide you through each part with openness and care, so you know what is included and how everything is taken care of on your behalf.

Professional service fees

Our professional service fee covers the essential care, support and coordination provided by our funeral directors. This includes:

  • Guidance and support from our experienced funeral directors
  • Transfer of your loved one into our care, day or night
  • Mortuary care carried out by qualified staff
  • Assistance in planning the ceremony and selecting a suitable venue
  • Arranging and lodging all necessary paperwork and registrations
  • Coordinating with clergy or celebrants, florists, musicians and caterers
  • Organising cemetery or crematorium bookings
  • Providing the required staff, vehicles and equipment on the day of the service
  • Access to our facilities for arrangements, visitations and follow-up care

These services ensure that every detail is managed with professionalism, respect and compassion.

Third-party disbursements

Depending on the choices you make for the funeral, there may be additional costs charged by external providers. This includes:

  • Newspaper notices
  • Floral arrangements
  • Clergy or celebrant fees
  • Church or venue hire fees (when not using Finney facilities)
  • Musician fees
  • Catering charges

We’ll outline these options clearly as we help you plan, so you know exactly what to expect.

Audio-visual services

Meaningful ways to share memories and include those who can’t be there in person.

Audio-visual elements can bring a service to life, helping families share stories, photos, music and moments that honour a loved one in a deeply personal way. We offer high-quality recording and livestreaming options across our venues, allowing friends and family near or far to feel part of the farewell.

With modern technology and a team experienced in supporting every detail, we’ll help you create a service that feels connected.

Eco-friendly funerals

Sustainable options that honour your loved one while caring for the environment.

For families seeking a more earth-conscious farewell, we offer eco-friendly funeral options designed to reduce environmental impact while still providing a heartfelt and dignified tribute. This may include sustainably made coffins, natural materials, and simpler service choices, as well as the option to hold a private memorial in a meaningful outdoor place after cremation.

Our team can help you create an eco-friendly farewell that feels personal and aligned with your loved one’s values.
