The Franklin Grove Chapel
An intimate, peaceful chapel with a warm country atmosphere.
Located beside the Franklin Grove Centre, the Franklin Grove Chapel offers a warm, intimate setting ideal for smaller funerals or private family services. Its country-style surroundings and elegant architectural features create a sense of comfort from the moment guests arrive.
Inside, the chapel opens into a cosy, fully licensed lounge and catering area, giving families the opportunity to gather in a private, peaceful space. The chapel also connects to the Centre’s outdoor reflection gardens, where natural light and quiet spaces allow for moments of retreat before or after the service.
This venue is well-suited to families wanting a smaller, more personal service without compromising on comfort or beauty.
The Finney Centre
A welcoming venue with generous space and modern facilities.
Situated beside Carr Villa Cemetery in Launceston, the Finney Centre is a beautifully appointed space for larger gatherings. The chapel seats up to 250 people comfortably and features modern audio-visual systems for photo tributes, video messages and live or recorded music.
Families have access to a private lounge for meeting before the service, along with an intimate viewing room for final farewells. The reception area is bright and welcoming, creating a calm space for guests to gather, share memories and support one another. This area opens onto a tranquil garden.
With flexible seating, modern amenities, licensed catering options and a warm, thoughtful layout, the Finney Centre offers everything needed to create a meaningful and well-supported service.
The Franklin Grove Centre

The Franklin Grove Centre is a state-of-the-art funeral facility set on four acres of serene countryside in Youngtown. Designed with openness and light in mind, the centre features a contemporary chapel that can accommodate services of any size, from small, private gatherings to large celebrations of life. Expansive windows look out over landscaped gardens and rolling views, creating a peaceful backdrop for reflection.
Inside, guests are welcomed into an elegant foyer that flows into the chapel, licensed catering areas, bar and entertainment spaces. The venue also includes breakout lounges for family and friends to gather before or after the service. Outdoors, the thoughtfully designed reflection garden offers privacy and calm in a spacious, natural setting.
Franklin Grove is also home to Finney’s private crematorium, ensuring every part of the process is handled onsite with dignity, respect and care.
